Laura Riolfatto – Sommelier, Art Director e Visual Storyteller

Amo catturare albe e tramonti, disegnare orizzonti e osservare la luce.
Da sempre sono affascinata dalle immagini — pittoriche, fotografiche, grafiche e in movimento.

Mi chiamo Laura e vivo tra Venezia e San Candido, due luoghi che hanno definito il mio modo di osservare, raccontare e progettare. La luce della laguna veneziana e quella delle Dolomiti guidano da sempre il mio lavoro.

Mi sono laureata all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia e per molti anni ho lavorato come artista visiva, partecipando a mostre, residenze e progetti di ricerca in Italia e all’estero. La fotografia e il video sono stati il mio primo linguaggio. Parallelamente, come socia dello studio LABORATORIO, ho coordinato progetti d’arte contemporanea in ambito istituzionale, ideando e gestendo processi curatoriali, workshop e iniziative dedicate ai nuovi media.

Ho proseguito la formazione con un Master in Management dei Musei e delle Imprese Culturali, oltre a percorsi Executive in Project Management - Digital Marketing e sicurezza museale (RSPP), lavorando a lungo come coordinatore generale in Musei e Fondazioni d’Arte Contemporanea.

Oggi dirigo la programmazione artistica dei _docks_ cantieri cucchini a Venezia, un hub creativo a San Pietro di Castello dove convivono mostre d’arte contemporanea, eventi, progetti culturali e wine tasting.

Sono Sommelier AIS e WSET e dal 2022 ho intrapreso un percorso personale che unisce vino, immagine e narrazione. Mi occupo di storytelling enogastronomico, degustazioni, fotografia e progettazione di eventi culturali legati al vino. In collaborazione con la food photographer Nicoletta Fornaro, ho sviluppato progetti di wine&food styling e approfondito la relazione tra gusto, visione e racconto.

Ho ideato e curato:

• ENOLOGISMI – cicli di eventi che intrecciano arte, letteratura, musica e cultura enogastronomica
• Percorsi sulla storia del vino a Venezia, con particolare attenzione ai rari vitigni italiani
• MALVASIA POP UP – progetto dedicato alla conoscenza e valorizzazione delle 19 varietà italiane di Malvasia, attraverso degustazioni tematiche, eventi privati e percorsi culturali

I love capturing sunrises and sunsets, tracing horizons, and observing light.
I have always been drawn to images—pictorial, photographic, graphic, and moving.

My name is Laura Riolfatto, and I live between Venice and San Candido, two places that have shaped the way I observe, narrate, and design.
The light of the Venetian lagoon and the light of the Dolomites guide my work every day.

I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and worked for many years as a visual artist, taking part in exhibitions, residencies, and research-based projects in Italy and abroad. Photography and video were my first languages. In parallel, as a partner of the LABORATORIO studio, I coordinated contemporary art projects in institutional contexts, developing curatorial processes, workshops, and initiatives dedicated to new media.

I continued my education with a Master’s in Museum and Cultural Enterprise Management, as well as executive training in Project Management, Digital Marketing, and museum safety (RSPP). I spent several years working as a general coordinator in contemporary art museums and foundations.

Today I direct the artistic programming of the _docks_ cantieri cucchini in Venice, a creative hub in San Pietro di Castello that hosts contemporary art exhibitions, cultural projects, events, and wine tastings.

I am a certified AIS and WSET Sommelier, and since 2022 I have been developing a personal path that brings together wine, imagery, and narrative.
I work in food & wine storytelling, tasting experiences, photography, and cultural event design. In collaboration with food photographer Nicoletta Fornaro, I have developed wine & food styling projects exploring the relationship between taste, vision, and narrative.

I have conceived and curated:

• ENOLOGISMI – a series of events combining art, literature, music, and food culture
• Wine history itineraries in Venice, with a focus on rare Italian grape varieties
• MALVASIA POP UP – a project dedicated to the knowledge and appreciation of the 19 Italian Malvasia varieties, through thematic tastings, private events, and cultural experiences

What I organize:

• Thematic wine tastings in Venice and throughout Italy
• Cultural itineraries dedicated to the history of wine in the Serenissima
• The Sommelier’s Table in the Dolomites, with a focus on alpine Malvasias and the Roter Malvasier
• Tailor-made private, corporate, cultural, and experiential events
